Al Norman |

Al Norman has been called "Wal-Mart's #1 Enemy" by Forbes magazine, and
the "guru of the anti-Wal-Mart movement" by 60 Minutes. Al's website,
www.sprawl-busters.com, is an international clearinghouse on retail
sprawl. Al is the author of two books, "Slam Dunking Wal-Mart: How You an
Stop Superstore Sprawl In Your Hometown" and "The Case Against Wal-Mart."
He has traveled to 43 states and 5 foreign countries at the request of
merchants, citizens's groups, and universities, to explain the impact of
big box stores like Home Depot, Target, Lowe's and Wal-Mart on the
businesses and civic life. He's been on Nightline, the Lehrer News Hour,
CNN, NPRs Marketplace, and many other national media outlets. Al has been
active in the big box field since he stopped a Wal-Mart in his town of
Greenfield, Massachusetts 13 years ago.
